Contact us?

Honestly, we prefer not to be contacted!
We are neither decision makers, nor are we part of any ruling body.

Contact the macedonian Goverment for example.

https://www.facebook.com/VladaMK/?locale=mk_MK
Or the responsible departments like the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning:

State Inspectorate for Environment

It’s your choice how are you going to contact them. Are you going to write them e-mail (s), message on X, Facebook, maybe you are old fashioned and you will like to send them couple of letters.
We encourage you to do anything to create some pressure, wave, influence etc. The Goverment is reacting only on shame and international pressure, unfortunately.
There are demonstrations for measures and clean air almost every year, but the Goverment is making only empty promises.
Here is one video from 28.12.2024.

Why are we saying this? What is this all about?
Severe Air Pollution: Cities like Skopje frequently rank among the most polluted in Europe, with high levels of particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) exceeding safe limits. This is attributed to various factors, including:
Heavy reliance on coal: Coal-fired power plants remain a major source of energy, contributing significantly to air pollution.
Vehicle emissions: A growing number of vehicles, particularly older models, contribute to emissions in urban areas.
Industrial emissions: Certain industries, such as metallurgy and construction, release pollutants into the atmosphere.
Household heating: During winter months, many households rely on inefficient wood and coal burning for heating, further exacerbating air pollution.
Bad urban planning: Urban solutions that are focused on new biuldings, malls and parking places, roads only for vehicles,. There very few projects with focus on green spaces, parks, urban recretational areas.
Urban transport: Public transport in Skopje is, mildly said, disaster. The buses are infrequent, late, old and overcrowded. There are no other solutions for urban transport. There is no tram, no metro, no speed bus lines. There is elementary bicycle infrastructure, which could be, and should be, more better and developed.

Limited Progress: While some efforts have been made to improve air quality, such as promoting renewable energy sources, progress has been extremely slow.
